Mostly Blogs

1. Oh, Fransson! This blog has excellent quilting tutorials as well as quilt-a-longs and other great craft projects. I especially love the Paintbox Quilt pictured above.

2. ReFabulous has tons of great ideas for refashioning old items into fabulous new ones. I love this bag inspired by an outfit. Her kids are super cute as well.

3. Assorted Notions. The DIY style of this blog is so inspiring. She does an awesome job of making handmade look high fashion in a totally doable way.

4. Darling Dexter. The pictures on this blog are eye candy. I could just look at the pictures. They range from fashion to decor to inspiring photos. It is definitely worth checking out.

5. Midwest Modern Girl. Another blog with a design sharing focus. I love these kind of blogs because the great photos make a quick but memorable read.

All these blogs have been added to my Google Reader and the blog list below.

1. Hi Tree Etsy Shop. I love this designer. The appliqueing is so unique and lovely. Lots of inspiration here. My favorite products are this Owl Bag (pictured above) and the Tree T-shirt. Love them!

2. 10 Ways to Be Marriable is a Boundless article that really has some good points for singles. And not just singles, all the principles are life lessons that are fruit of a walk with God.

3. M.Writes is a lovely blog I just added to my google blog reader. So much great stuff here.

4. Indie Fixx was found through the threadbanger blog. They feature lots of independent designers and there are so many great products featured. Buy handmade or find your own inspiration.

5. Eight Year Reading List was shared by Carolyn over at the Girl Talk blog. It is such a great idea to plan for those heaving books that you’ve always wanted to read but never got around to. I outta plan one book a month that I really want to read and whatever else I read should just fall in after that one book gets read.

Saturday Links

1. Angry Alien has extremely funny 30-second recaps of movies reenacted by bunnies.

2. Eye Pop Art. I love this artist’s clocks and bowls made from recycled materials. They remind me of Dr. Suess.

3. Heather Bailey. I featured her store a couple of weeks ago but Heather Bailey also has a great blog which I just added to my Google Reader.

4. Victorian RV. I would love to make over an old school bus. Not sure where I’d get one. This guy took an old school bus and made it into a functional RV.

5. Green Prairie Fibers has some beautiful hand dyed yarn for sale. If I ever get around to teaching myself how to knit I might have to purchase some of these.

Saturday Links

I just realized that this will be my first Links post in the new year! And I really need to clean out my Bookmarks. Here goes. Five great sites I’m sure you will love.

1. Multicolr Search Lab. I made the collage above using this great script. You pick 1-10 colors and it pulls random images from flickr that have those colors in them. So much fun! And a great way to find photos to use on your blog.

2. Heather Bailey Store. This gal has beautiful fabric which is totally on my someday wishlist. I would love to make a purse using her fabric. Love it!

3. Covenant Life Church Resource Library. I have been listening to podcasts and sermons on my way to work everyday. I download stuff to my mp3 player. I don’t even have any music on my mp3 player! If I need a music fix I put in a CD at home or turn the radio on. So anyways, if you need some sermons to listen to you can download some from Covenant Life Church where Joshua Harris is the senior pastor.

4. Fluffels by Mariska and DIY Fluffies. Two Etsy shops from the same designer. By one of her unique softies or make your own! I would love to purchase one of her too cute monsters. They remind me of Monster’s Inc. Buy handmade!

5. House On Hill Road. A new blog I found and added to my Google Reader. A crafty homemaker. Love!

I fell in love with this ingenious advent calendar when I ran across it. Unfortunately it is too late to make for friends as an advent calendar, but you could still make it as an easy Christmas gift. Or, bookmark it for next year.

Yes, I think I am back to blogging. A new layout, Now Reading plugin added, and my first Saturday Link post back up. I may not be posting everyday, but I will at least be trying to post regularly. Have a very merry holiday season!
