Lot’s of fun pictures I took while everyone was having a good time in the pool. LOL. It’s really hard to believe we were swimming a week ago. This weekend we had another snow storm up here in Minnesota.

Here are some of the “random” pictures I took while in San Diego.

So while on vacation we had a couple days of just hanging out at the resort where we were staying. I decided to take some time to take some pictures of the beautiful days we were enjoying. Especially since we were heading back to cold Minnesota. So I took lots of pictures of the flowers and trees and other random things. Here are some of the flower pictures. I will share lots more pictures in my posts this week. This was so much fun I need to do more of it! Today we have some of my favorite flower pictures. BTW… I may be posting these at istockphoto.com to sell later. Maybe I can make some money off my amateur photography.

I have the quilt top for my pink quilt-a-long quilt all put together. I’m still working on the borders however. There are way too many small squares in the borders! LOL. I’ve got the squares mostly all sewed together. Just a little more time and they will be done.

The last few days have been spent cutting out lots of 2.5″ x 2.5″ squares for my two bright quilt-a-long quilts. Anyone else getting sick of small squares? LOL. It is going to look great when it is done but it is so time consuming! I have all 950 squares cut out for the purple and pink quilts. Now to get to work sewing the quilt tops together.

I got my Fine Lines quilt top put together! Whew. That is one project that has taken too long to complete. I sewed for two days straight to get that done. It still needs borders added and then of course it needs to be quilted. I’ll show you the full quilt when it is done.

Yesterday me and my brother Jonny went out to the camp and spent all day painting in the house. No, we haven’t received official news if we are moving out the to camp or not, but we have been given permission to do some sprucing up. The house really needs some TLC. Some of the rooms have not been touched since we were out there ten years ago and really need a paint job. Other rooms are pretty crazy colors that definitely need to be painted over. Me and Jonny painted the boy’s room and the entry “Creamy Coffee”. We had lots of fun too. Those rooms are ready for whoever moves in.

One of the projects I completed recently was this quilt wall. It is made from white flannel I bought at Walmart and a shower curtain rod. I really like how it turned out. Now I have no more excuses for not working on my Fine Lines quilt. I can lay out the pieces on this wall instead of all over the floor. You know what I will be working on these next few days.
