This button wreath looks like so much fun to make! Too bad I don’t have a pile of buttons lying around. I love the colors of this one. They are very Eastery.

This Couture Style dress pattern would make a great spring dress. Especially with some pretty flowery fabric.

This is such a great idea for a baby gift. Crochet around the edge of a fleece blanket. So neat!

Another easy baby gift would be these burp cloths. Love them!

There are so many delicious looking recipes over at Mama’s Fixins. I am getting hungry!

I have the quilt top for my pink quilt-a-long quilt all put together. I’m still working on the borders however. There are way too many small squares in the borders! LOL. I’ve got the squares mostly all sewed together. Just a little more time and they will be done.

Thankful Thursday

I’m thankful for my new room that I get to makeover. No, it’s still not official, but it is hard not to hope and want to work on getting a new house ready. We worked on the house all day yesterday. Mom painted over the ugly green in the kitchen, Jonny painted over the dark gray in the bedroom, and I helped my sisters rip down the wallpaper in my bedroom. What a messy job! The picture above is the room before anything was done to it. I want to paint the room a pretty shade of blue to match the quilt I’m working on. I hope we know soon if we are officially moving out there or not!

The last few days have been spent cutting out lots of 2.5″ x 2.5″ squares for my two bright quilt-a-long quilts. Anyone else getting sick of small squares? LOL. It is going to look great when it is done but it is so time consuming! I have all 950 squares cut out for the purple and pink quilts. Now to get to work sewing the quilt tops together.

Brainy Kid

In high school, you were acing AP classes or hanging out in the computer lab. You may have been a bit of a geek back then, but now you’re a total success!

Who Were You In High School?

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I got my Fine Lines quilt top put together! Whew. That is one project that has taken too long to complete. I sewed for two days straight to get that done. It still needs borders added and then of course it needs to be quilted. I’ll show you the full quilt when it is done.
