I picked this book up a few years ago at the home school convention and finally got around to reading it. It was an excellent book. One of the encouragements for me was that in waiting and not “dating around” that God will bless that commitment. One of the things I decided early on was that I wanted to save myself for the man God has for me. And that for me includes not letting myself become emotionally attached to guys through “serial dating”. In fact I have only been in a relationship with one Godly Christian guy and that ended on a good note with us still being friends. Anyways, the book really refocused my mind on what I need to be pursuing at the moment. A deep relationship with my Savior and spiritual discipline. At this point in my life all my energy should be focused on serving my Lord. There is always the desire that He will bring the right man into my life but it rests completely in the Father’s hands. It is not something I need to be worried or anxious about.
