My next project for this quiltathon in my blue and white quilt. The pattern is from the American Patchwork & Quilting February 2007 magazine. I have all the blocks put together and just need to sew together the setting triangles as I go along putting the top together. Above you can see the pile of fabric that is cute but that I had in my “project” drawer so it all needs to be ironed again. Oh well. Hopefully I will get a significant amount of work done on this quilt over the weekend.

8:00 Update – Still working on the quilt. Nothing really new to post. I am watching a movie on the Hallmark Channel so it won’t be moving very fast. I’ll post a final post for the day before I head to bed.

10:00 Update – Well, I’m not going to have any more updates for today. The movie was good but now I am very tired and we have church tomorrow. So I will be cleaning up the mess a bit and then heading to bed. Night all!

The Lazy Days Tote is completed! Yay! I found a couple of unfinished lacing projects that I started this summer in my “project” drawer as well. I think I’m going to take a little bit of time away from quilting to finish those up. One is done as you can see.

I’m almost done with this tote! I have to run a stitch along the top and then pull some of the basting stitches that show and it will be finished! About time too. This project was started in 2006 and then sat around in my drawer since then.

Still working on my Lazy Days Tote. I’m about to the point where I can sew the bag and the lining together. It feels so good to be nearing the end of this project. I love to listen to audio books when I am sewing/crafting and thought you might be interested in what I am listening to. At the moment I am listening to Tomb of the Golden Bird by Elizabeth Peters. It arrived just in time for this weekend from Paperback Swap.

So the first thing I did was clean out my “project” drawer which you saw in the last post. Doesn’t it look so much better? It had my partially completed lazy days tote and tons of pieces for my blue and white quilt. I took all that stuff out and made a couple of piles on the floor. The pieces for my quilt are going to need lots of pressing. The quilting that I started was to work on my Lazy Days Tote from my Quilts and More Summer 2006 magazine. I thought I’d start with this one since I will probably have it completed in another hour. So exciting to actually be completing a project!

Saturday Links will be postponed until Monday. Today and tomorrow I will be posting pictures for the online Quiltathon that I will be participating in. I will try to post pictures for every hour that I am working. I’m getting kind of a late start today because I didn’t find out about this until late last night. If I had known sooner I would have tried to get some of the stuff I had to do today done before. But no big deal. I’ve got that stuff out of the way and I can get to work. Above you see my nice clean room which will soon be a disaster I’m sure. The other picture is of my “project” drawer. Hopefully that will be a little emptier by the end of the weekend. You can find out more about the Quiltathon by heading over to Patchwork Times.
