Every month I decide on five goals for the month. I started doing this in November. For the past few months I have had a goal of reading 10 books during the month. You wouldn’t think it would be that hard. It is only one book every three days. But for some reason I don’t find the time to complete this goal. But I’m working on getting better at it. So far none of my goals for each month have been completed, but I am working towards being consistent for an entire month. They say it takes 30 days to make a habit which is what I am trying for.
One of the books that I finished reading for this month is The Way of the Master by Ray Comfort. I have been exposed to a lot of Ray’s teachings through watching some of his videos at camp and through finishing a Bible study using his materials. It’s about time I got around to finishing this book. It’s been on my shelf for a while. The book was very challenging to me that I need to be sharing my faith. And I also need to be very careful about how I am sharing my faith. It needs to be not just be, “Jesus loves you and has a great plan for your life.” But I need to let people know that they are sinners. We are all. And how we have rebelled against God by breaking the 10 Commandments. Only then are people ready for a Savior. We don’t need a fairy godmother, we need a Savior to pull us out of the muck of sin we don’t even realize we are in.
