Happy President’s Day everyone! We of course had to go and do a bit of shopping today. We certainly picked a cold day to go. A high of 5 degrees not counting the wind chill. But we still had fun. I picked up some great fabric at Hobby Lobby and got some good deals at Savers.

My favorite purchase of the day would have to be these shoes which look super cute with a pair of jeans. Only $4! Everything at Savers was half off and I found some cute sweaters and a couple bed sheets for quilting. And it wasn’t even that busy. No waiting in line for the dressing rooms.

Purl has some great fabric and yarn. I’d love to buy any of it! Maybe you want to do some shopping there as well.

I would love trying this project of ironing shopping bags to make this great poinsettia. How unique!

Ever wished you knew the right abbreviations for the books of the Bible? I have. Here is a list to help you out.

You Are a Cappuccino

You’re fun, outgoing, and you love to try anything new. However, you tend to have strong opinions on what you like. You are a total girly girly at heart – and prefer your coffee with good conversation. You’re the type that seems complex to outsiders, but in reality, you are easy to please.

What Kind of Coffee Girl Are You?

1. First and foremost, Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope you are having a great one. I am thankful for the love of my family and friends today.

2. Secondly, I’m thankful for my group of Sparks kids that remind me that Valentine’s day is a fun holiday. They remind me to be a kid again.

3. I’m also thankful for this season of singleness in which I am able to focus solely on Christ. I want to be married, but I also don’t want to waste my single years.

4. While I am not in a relationship at the moment, I am thankful for my past relationships with guys and the friends I have made and the things I have learned through those relationships.

5. I also thank God for the man God is preparing for me. I know he is going to be someone pretty special.

I have a new ironing board! At least a new ironing board cover. That I made myself! Above you see the before and after pics. Isn’t it awesome? Love it!

More Patterns

More patterns from pattern rescue! I really need to try some of these great patterns soon. Quilts are distracting me from trying to make any actual clothing. Currently I am just collecting patterns. *laughs*

Mistake Fixed

I realized in looking back at my posts that I had messed up one of my quilt-a-long blocks. The first picture above is my mistake. It looks a little off doesn’t it? So I got out my stitch ripper and got to work. The fixed block looks much better. I’m glad I caught this mistake before the quilt was done! It would have bugged me a lot to find that mistake and not be able to do anything about it.
