My brother Andrew headed off for Marine Boot Camp today. Thirteen weeks of grueling training starting today. It is so hard to imagine what he will be going through. No one in our family or extended family have ever been in the military so it is a completely new area for us. Andrew joined the Marines last March and has delayed entry until now. He already has quite a bit of knowledge about the Marines under his belt from that extra time compared to the guys that sign up and leave the next day practically. The Marines is something that God has uniquely gifted Andrew for and we know that he will excel in training. Our prayer for him is that he would lean on the Lord and that he would connect with other brothers in Christ while at boot camp. We will miss him. Looking forward to graduation in April.
