Fabric Shopping

We had a late night shopping trip to Walmart last night and I got some great fabric. I know, I know, Walmart is not the best place to buy fabric but for our area and for the price its the only place there is. So anyways, I found two great fabrics for the crayon holders I plan to make for the kids in my Sunday school class. I will of course include a few candy canes with each one. These need to be done by Sunday so I had better get a move on.

I also found this fabric for $1 that I thought would make a great top. The green fabric was actually my intention to use with the crayon holders but seeing them together I’m thinking it might be a good color for a layer under this fabric. I may need to go pick up some more or see what else I have in my stash. Now I just need to find a good pattern.

Walmart fabric is not bad at all, it all depends what you are using it for right!? I mean, crayon holders, they make great fabrics there for that. Those fabrics are very cute. and the canes are cute colors too!
